The Seanapps Magnetic Door Sensor is an essential product for enhancing security on your boat. Designed to accurately monitor the opening and closing of doors and windows using a magnet-based system, this sensor plays a crucial role in managing access to important compartments or secure areas of your yacht.

This innovative sensor operates by detecting the separation of the magnet, thereby signaling any opening or closing within a 4-second interval. Its sensitivity is such that it can detect a maximum gap of 5 mm between the detector and the magnet, ensuring reliable and precise detection.

Powered by a CR2450 3V battery, the sensor offers a lifespan of about two years, thus reducing the need for frequent replacements. A LED indicator flashes upon power on and every 60 seconds if the battery voltage is below 2.5V, allowing you to easily monitor the battery’s condition.

Available in black or white, the sensor measures 70x60x21mm (detector plus magnet) and is made of sturdy ABS plastic. It can be installed either by adhesive or using four screws (two for the magnet and two for the sensor). Thanks to its Bluetooth Low Energy 5.1 technology, it enjoys a range of 15 to 20 meters in open space, making it easy to integrate with the Seanapps application via a simple QR code scan.

For optimal installation, the sensor and magnet should be placed indoors, on the same plane, and at a maximum distance of 5 mm for effective detection. Also, ensure they are accessible for battery changes. This sensor is a wise choice for those seeking a simple and effective solution to improve security on board.
